The synthesis report on Research about the linkages between Social Protection and Children’s Care in Rwanda, Ghana and South Africa was launched in Nairobi-Kenya and disseminated to key regional actors, on July 26, 2016. It was officially opened by Mr UWIHOREYE Chaste, Family For Every Child Board member, on behalf of the Alliance.
This Regional launch was facilitated by our Global Alliance, Family for Every Child, in a joint research project by three Members ( CINDI, Challenging Heights and UYISENGA NI IMANZI), mainly to reflect on their research findings and recommendations. It was hosted by Undugu Society of Kenya and many actors and specialized institutions working with children were invited to make their inputs.
All the four members were very pleased to discuss findings and recommendations in their respective context with different partners from public or private institutions.
Additional to the launch of the synthesis report, a two hours session brought together the 3 participants as well as Family For Every Child and IDS with their Government representatives and agree on the way forward, a plan of action following the recommendations and outcomes.
All discussions were focusing on CASH FOR CARE in Social Protection Program.
