BOOK AID INTERNATIONAL JOINTLY WITH UYISENGA NI IMANZI IN PROVISION OF BOOKS IN DIFFERENT SCHOOLS IN RWANDA MUCH APPRICIATION

We have been working with book aid international for quite some time, which provides books and supports libraries in Africa and around the world. Every year it sends books to public and community libraries as well as libraries in prisons, refugee camps, hospitals, schools and universities. UNM is one of the organizations chosen to which that support pass through and reach to the selected schools respectively; kindergarten, primary and secondary schools in Rwanda.

This is the third time Uyisenga Ni Imanzi has received these books and distribute them to different schools in Kigali and Rwamagana, focusing on the schools that UNM partnering with in education and child protection department. This is to build the capacity of teachers by providing them with effective teaching tools in order to improving the quality of education, strengthening the culture of reading and considering the power of books and libraries.

UNM is very proud and appreciates book aid international because it takes into account the education of Rwandan children, whereby more than fifteen thousand books have been received in three categories by UNM and for about 29 different schools, this includes 12 nursery and primary schools and 17 secondary schools, this was very useful and on behalf of our partners in schools especially from friends of children and G.s Gisozi who provided their feedback. They appreciate and testify the change since the start of using these books because students have increased their performance, this has also improved their communication and writing skills by reading new words and new vocabularies as they said. This is one the reasons that they are advising other schools which have their own libraries to use the opportunity they have to read those books effectively because you can never know the value of something until it is lost.
